Glyph Runners

Glyph Runners is a reflex-and-pattern arcade game. Symbols scroll across the screen and you swipe to match them before they slip past, building combos that snowball into score multipliers. It is simple to describe and surprisingly hard to put down.

The combo system is the hook. Chaining matches without a mistake ramps the speed and the reward, so there is always a reason to push for one more run. The difficulty curve is well judged, nudging you forward without ever feeling unfair.

There is not much depth beyond the scoreboard, but the moment-to-moment feel is excellent. For short bursts between other things, it is one of the better arcade picks we have tested lately.
