A Week With Casinacho Games

March 30, 2026 · Markus Vähäkylä

I went into Casinacho Games expecting a standard tower defence routine and spent the first two maps on autopilot. That ended fast. By the third set of levels the game starts sending enemies down two lanes at once, and the easy habit of stacking everything in one corner falls apart.

The real lesson is resource timing. You rarely have enough to fully upgrade one tower and cover a new lane, so you are constantly choosing between depth and width. My best runs came when I stopped upgrading early and instead seeded cheap units across every path, then specialised once I knew where the pressure landed.

The upgrade branches are worth experimenting with. I spent a whole evening testing a support-heavy build that slows enemies instead of killing them outright, and it carried me through a map that a raw damage setup kept failing. The game does not tell you this works, which is exactly why discovering it felt good.

My tip after a week: pause often in the early waves to scout the enemy mix, and keep one cheap flexible slot open for whatever surprise the map throws at you. Casinacho Games rewards the player who plans a wave ahead, not the one who reacts fastest.

It is not a flashy game, and it does not try to be. But if you like defence titles that make you think rather than tap, it earns the time.
